ABOUT THIS VENUE
Entering an open competition at Tavistock offers the chance to play one of Devon's oldest courses, established in 1890 on land owned by the Duke of Bedford on Whitchurch Down within Dartmoor National Park, where crisp moorland turf, fast greens, gorse and bracken, free-roaming sheep and ponies and panoramic views to the granite tors create a unique links-like experience in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
