The Wandlebury course has hosted Open Championship Regional Qualifying, while the Old course has staged the Lagonda Trophy continuously since 1975, with Lee Westwood and Luke Donald among past winners. Peterborough Milton — a James Braid design from 1938 set in the parkland of the Milton Hall Estate — rounds out the marquee venues.
Ely City's setting beside the River Great Ouse and the cathedral gives the county one of its most picturesque competition venues, with a full open programme through the year. With the A14, M11 and direct rail from London King's Cross all running through the county, Cambridgeshire is genuinely accessible for visiting competitors and a quietly rewarding choice for amateur tournament play.
