Why Enter an Open Golf Event in South East Scotland?

South East Scotland — Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Borders — packs more good golf into thirty miles of coastline than just about anywhere on earth. Beyond featured pair North Berwick and Dunbar, the open calendar takes in Gullane, the historic Musselburgh, parkland gems like Dalmahoy and Duddingston, and Borders favourites Melrose and Peebles.

Open events are run by clubs within the Lothians Golf Association and Border Golfers Association, with a multi-venue Edinburgh Golf Week fixture in early July rotating between Prestonfield, Duddingston, Bruntsfield Links, Dalmahoy and Ratho Park. Off the course, Edinburgh's Old and New Towns, the abbeys of the Scottish Borders and the dramatic North Berwick coastline keep non-golfing partners just as well entertained.
