Entering an open competition at The Leicestershire offers the chance to play a mature parkland course founded in 1890 on Evington fields, where improvements by James Braid in 1910-12 were followed by alterations from Major Charles MacKenzie, Harry Colt, C.K. Cotton and Fred Hawtree, with a distinctive circular clubhouse commanding superb views across heavily tree-lined fairways and the Evington Brook.
