Due to the coronavirus pandemic golf clubs in the UK will be forced to close and therefore unable to run their open competitions for the foreseeable future.

Inline with the government directive announced on 23rd March this will last for the next three weeks so you can assume all Opens up to and including 13th April are cancelled. However, these measures will undoubtedly be extended, to a lesser or greater degree, and we expect severe disruption to the amateur golfing calendar throughout 2020, and perhaps beyond.

In the vast majority of cases the individual golf clubs deal with the booking, payment and administration of each Open. Please contact the host venue directly for the latest information regarding any specific tournament and their refund policy etc...

We are asking golf clubs to let us know if they cancel any of their events beyond the initial three week period, or postpone events to a later date in the year, so that we can publish this information on the individual event pages of our website.

Hopefully this will provide helpful information for our visitors but please be aware that despite our request some golf clubs may not inform us of any cancellations or postponements and we reiterate that you should contact the host venue directly for the latest information regarding any specific tournament.

We will aim to do our best to keep you informed during this exceptional time.

Stay healthy and positive.
