As golf looks to return to some form of normality, many clubs have begun to reinstate their open golf competitions - with covid restrictions in place. This is particularly the case for England & Northern Ireland whilst the Scotland & Wales are taking a more cautious and restrictive approach (see below).
We have asked all golf clubs to inform us about the current status of their events and we are working hard behind the scenes to update our website with the latest information.
Please note that many golf clubs are still reviewing their 2020 tournaments and do not yet know themselves if they will definitely be going ahead as originally planned, therefore, we advise contacting the host venue directly for the latest information regarding any specific tournament before entering, particularly those during July or where catering is involved and also when entry is by paper form and not via online booking.
• England: clubs may choose to run competitions provided social distancing and safety regulations can be strictly observed at all times.
• Scotland: competitive golf is currently restricted to members only and therefore open events in Scotland are not currently permitted.
• Wales: competitive golf is permitted but restrictions on the number of households that are allowed to meet up mean it is unlikely open events will go ahead until that changes.
• Northern Ireland: open competitions are now permitted.
