Top 100 Golf Courses of the World
Top 100 Golf Courses - England.
The Top 100 Golf Courses website produces a Top 100 England list which in our opinion is probably the most accurate out there.
Last updated in November 2017 the list seems to hit the nail on the head for the most part and whilst the lower fifth will always be up for debate this is an ideal place to start if you are looking to play the best courses in England. The beauty of the website is that you can dig much deeper into seven regional charts across the country if you so wish.
Comparing it to the equivalent lists from National Club Golfer and Golf World the course that immediately jumps out is the private Queenwood. Due to its limited play by the golfing public judging and ranking a course like this is not easy but fair play to Top 100 for including it. Other courses which are included but do not make the other two lists are; North Hants, Wentworth (Edinburgh), Thorndon Park, Hadley Wood, Fairhaven and Sandiway.
A trio of courses that feature in both the other two lists but not here are; St. Annes Old Links, Luffenham Heath and Cavendish.
Golf Empire founder, Ed Battye, has played all the courses on the list (except Queenwood) and below you can find links to his golf course reviews.
