Golf Course Overview

Yeovil Golf Club sits on the Somerset side of the county border but plays a long-standing role in Dorset golf through its membership of the Dorset Golf Union and its affiliated club network. Set in around 160 acres of rolling Dorset/Somerset countryside, the club offers 27 holes of golf: the 18-hole Old Course is the championship layout, with the 9-hole Newton Course providing a shorter and more relaxed alternative. The Old Course is widely respected for its generous fairways, superbly-conditioned greens, and a set of memorable holes including the uphill 3rd with out-of-bounds left, and the dramatic 15th — a downhill par 3 from an elevated tee with panoramic views over Yeovil and the surrounding countryside.

The clubhouse has a comfortable bar and restaurant with well-regarded catering, plus changing facilities, a pro shop and a driving range. The club welcomes visitors and societies, runs an active open competition programme and caters for all standards through a range of membership options. Yeovil Golf Club is located on Sherborne Road a short distance from the town centre, easily accessible from the A30 and A37, with Yeovil Junction and Yeovil Pen Mill stations providing rail connections.
