Golf Course Overview

Wilpshire Golf Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club established in 1890 and set on the upland heathland above Blackburn in the Ribble Valley, with the 18-hole layout designed by James Braid in 1924. The course measures 5,936 yards at a par of 69, making excellent use of the natural heathland terrain with undulating fairways, a variety of left-to-right and right-to-left holes, blind shots, and panoramic views of Lancashire that make it a genuinely thrilling round from tee to green. The thick rough and immaculate greens are consistently praised by visitors as among the finest in the Blackburn and Ribble Valley area.
