Golf Course Overview
Whitefield Golf Club is a superbly maintained 18-hole parkland course founded in 1932 and designed by Tom Renouf, the professional at the nearby Manchester Golf Club. Situated just north of Manchester, less than half a mile from Junction 17 of the M60, the course measures 5,960 yards at a par of 69 and is rightly acclaimed as one of the finest inland courses in the region. Its reputation rests on five exacting and picturesque par threes that challenge golfers of every standard, while the contrasting inward and outward nines — with the back nine over 600 yards longer than the front — create a round of excellent variety. The club has hosted the PGA Lancashire Open.
Consistently praised for the exceptional quality of its greens — widely described as among the best in Greater Manchester — Whitefield welcomes visitors seven days a week with competitive green fees. The club also has a long and successful history of hosting golf societies, social functions, lunches, and golf days. A fully stocked pro shop with expert tuition from the club's PGA Professionals completes the offering at this wonderfully accessible Manchester club.
