Golf Course Overview
Wharton Park Golf & Country Club opened in 1992 and occupies an elevated site on the edge of the Georgian riverside town of Bewdley, bordered by the Wyre Forest. The 18-hole championship parkland course was designed by Howard Swan and measures around 6,468 yards with a par of 71, working through undulating terrain and mature woodland with notable holes including the long par 5 9th and the bunker-guarded 11th green. The course is regarded as one of the more scenic championship tests in north Worcestershire.
Facilities include the Strike Shack covered floodlit driving range and academy, a modern pro shop, putting and chipping greens, practice bunker, lounge bar, banqueting suites, conference centre, and Green's Restaurant. An on-site boutique hotel with seven 4-star bedrooms makes Wharton Park a popular choice for golf breaks, weddings, and corporate events. The club is on Longbank just outside Bewdley, off the A456, with straightforward access from Kidderminster and the wider Worcestershire road network.
