Golf Course Overview
Walmersley Golf Club is a beautiful heathland and moorland course established in 1906, set on the hills above Bury on Garrett's Close, White Carr Lane. The 18-hole course measures 6,064 yards at a par of 71, offering spectacular views across Manchester, North Cheshire, and Merseyside from its elevated position. Redesigned and extended by Steve Marnoch in 1993, the course is described by the club as one of the most interesting and challenging in the area — rewarding position off the tee and precise approach play throughout a round of excellent variety and scenic beauty.
Visitors consistently praise the warm welcome from the professional and club staff, the superb condition of the fairways and greens, and the outstanding views that accompany every hole. The friendly clubhouse provides bar, catering, and function room facilities, and the club welcomes golfers, societies, and corporate groups throughout the year at very competitive green fees.
