Golf Course Overview
Ulverston Golf Club was founded in 1910 and the present course at Bardsea Park was laid out by the legendary H.S. Colt in 1924, with sympathetic modernisation by David Hemstock in 2008. The 18-hole parkland course plays to around 6,259 yards with a par of 71, course rating of 71.1 and slope of 133. Colt's classic routing makes the most of rolling, well-treed parkland above the coast, with sweeping views across Morecambe Bay and towards the South Lakeland fells giving the course a particularly memorable setting. The layout is demanding enough to test good players while remaining rewarding for golfers of all abilities.
Facilities include a driving range, chipping and putting greens, practice bunker, pro shop with custom fitting, PGA lessons, changing rooms and buggy hire. The Bay View Lounge Bar and Restaurant is open to golfers and non-golfers alike, with several function rooms available for weddings, birthdays, christenings and corporate events. Visitors and societies are welcomed throughout the year, with summer and winter packages on offer. The course is two miles from Ulverston market town and a short drive from junction 36 of the M6.

Golf Empire Verdict
Ulverston
"Ulverston is a lovely South Cumbrian wooded-parkland course with some sloping fairways and high quality greens."
The Club was founded back in 1895 but moved to its current site in 1910 before Harry Colt redesigned the course in the 1920's.
