Golf Course Overview

Staddon Heights Golf Club was established in 1904 and occupies a spectacular headland position on the southern edge of Plymouth, on the coast at Plymstock. The 18-hole clifftop course plays to a par of 70 (73 for ladies) and measures 6,164 yards from the men's tees and 5,683 yards from the ladies' tees. Set high above Plymouth Sound, the course is routed by Hamilton J. Stutt and presents uninterrupted panoramic views along the Devon and Cornwall coastline, across the Sound to the city and inland toward Dartmoor and Bodmin. A short par 4 opener sets the tone and the elevated, undulating holes reward good strategy rather than sheer length, with an island bunker guarding the first green among the course's memorable features.

The modern clubhouse includes a bar, restaurant and function rooms, with a welcoming atmosphere for members, visitors and society groups and a reputation for good food and warm hospitality. The club hosts weddings, family functions and corporate events, and visitors are welcomed without a requirement for handicap certificates. Staddon Heights is located at 96 Staddon Lane in Plymstock, on the southern outskirts of Plymouth, within easy reach of the A379 and a short drive from the city centre.
