Golf Course Overview
Skidby Lakes is the second of the two golf courses operated by Cottingham Parks Golf & Leisure Club, sharing the same estate as the parent parkland layout. The course was officially opened in June 2000 by cricket legend Sir Ian Botham and was added to the Cottingham Leisure portfolio in 2008. A comprehensive redesign was completed in 2017, introducing new dogleg holes that put a greater emphasis on course management. The current 18-hole layout plays to a par of 68 over approximately 5,586 yards, with smaller, sloping greens providing a particular test of approach play. An ongoing tree-planting programme has added more than 3,000 trees to the course to complement the existing landscaping.
Skidby Lakes has its own clubhouse offering a relaxed bar and catering for players after their round, with a smart-casual dress code. Skidby members can upgrade for full use of the adjacent Cottingham Parks leisure facilities, including the gym, pool, sauna and spa, for a small additional fee. The course sits on Woodhill Way between Cottingham and Skidby, just off the A164, giving easy access from Hull, Beverley and the M62.
