Golf Course Overview
Rufford Park Golf & Country Club is set within over 200 acres of the historic Rufford Abbey Deer Park, in the heart of Sherwood Forest. The 18-hole course opened in 1994 and has been shaped by design input from David Hemstock and Donald Steel, with further work by Ken Moodie (2008) and ongoing consultancy led by former Ryder Cup player Ken Brown. It measures around 6,387 yards to a par of 70, with water hazards active on the back nine and spectacular views of Rufford Lakes and the Abbey. A free-draining sandy base ensures quality playing surfaces in every season.
The club is rated as one of the top society and corporate event venues in the Midlands, combining the course with a 16-bay floodlit driving range, excellent practice areas, a pro shop and a clubhouse restaurant known for its Sunday carvery. The venue is also a popular setting for weddings, conferences and parties. Rufford Park is reached via Rufford Lane off the A616, just a mile from the Ollerton roundabout where the A1, A614 and A616 meet.
