Golf Course Overview

Romiley Golf Club was founded in 1897 and takes its place among the oldest clubs in the Manchester area. The original course was laid out by T.G. "Tommy" Renouf, the Manchester Golf Club professional who also influenced the neighbouring Alderley Edge course around the same period. The 18-hole parkland course plays to a par of 70 over approximately 6,310 yards from the white tees, with a course rating of 71.5 and slope of 135. Gently undulating terrain, tree-lined fairways and well-kept greens combine with notable features such as the pond fronting the 14th and the sloping 17th green to create a fair but testing round.

The clubhouse offers comfortable bar and dining, function facilities, changing rooms and a putting green outside the door. A pro shop and practice facilities round out the amenities, and buggy hire is available. Visitors and societies are welcomed through online booking. Romiley is on Goosehouse Green in Romiley village, just off the B6104 and a short drive from junction 25 of the M60.
