Golf Course Overview
Redditch Golf Club was established in its present location at Lower Grinsty in 1972, having relocated from Pitcheroak when a dual carriageway bisected the original ground. The 18-hole parkland and woodland course was designed by Frank Pennink, with later revisions by Jonathan Tucker in 1996, and measures around 6,429 yards to a par of 72. The layout features undulating fairways threaded through mature woodland, with a memorable back nine — notably the 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th holes — providing a challenging finish. The greens, re-laid in 1995/96 under Sports Turf Research Institute guidance, are widely praised.
Facilities include a driving range, putting and chipping greens, practice bunker, a fully stocked pro shop, and a welcoming clubhouse with bar, restaurant, and function rooms hosting weddings, wakes, and private events. Visitors and societies are welcomed Monday to Friday. The club is on Green Lane at Callow Hill on the western edge of Redditch, with straightforward access from Junction 2 of the M42 and the A441.
