Golf Course Overview
Pitreavie Golf Club opened on 17 June 1922 and has all the hallmarks of an Alister MacKenzie design, featuring water features, natural terrain and testing multi-tiered sloping greens. The 18-hole parkland course is set in mature landscape north of the Firth of Forth and offers spectacular views over the estuary to Edinburgh, including the three engineering masterpieces – the Queensferry Crossing, Forth Road Bridge and the iconic Forth Bridge. The long opening hole demands a good drive favouring the right, with the green beckoning for big hitters but a well-placed second short of the burn being the smart play. Water features and burns come into play throughout the round, with sloping fast greens that demand careful downhill putting. Stay right – most of the trouble is on the left.
The Pitreavie clubhouse offers all-year-round enjoyment with a traditional bar, lounge and restaurant, caterers providing quality food from the kitchen, Sky Sports, pool and darts for post-round relaxation. Visitor amenities and hospitality are well-regarded, with warm Scottish welcome a hallmark of the club. Located on Queensferry Road in Dunfermline, the course is easily reached off the M90 and is a short distance from Edinburgh via the Queensferry Crossing.

Golf Empire Verdict
Pitreavie
"Pitreavie was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise on a recent family holiday to Scotland."
Myself and my son had originally booked in to play a Pairs Open Competition at Leven Links but when that was cancelled at short notice the only other event we could find on the same day was at Pitreavie.
