Golf Course Overview
Norwood Park Golf Centre sits within the historic grounds of the Norwood Park country estate just outside Southwell. The 18-hole Norwood Course was designed by respected American architect Clyde B. Johnston, a past president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, working alongside Brad Bartell, and opened in 1999. From the back tees the course measures around 6,805 yards to a par of 72 (with championship yardage up to 6,976), and players encounter wide tree-lined fairways, fast free-draining USGA-specification greens and several water hazards framed by panoramic estate views.
Alongside the main course, the centre also features a 9-hole Westwood par 3 course, making it a versatile venue for juniors and beginners as well as seasoned players. Facilities include a well-stocked Maceys Pro Shop, a PGA Teaching Academy with high-performance coaching, clubhouse dining and a welcoming bar. Norwood Park is easily accessed via the A46 and lies close to Southwell Minster and Sherwood Forest.
