Golf Course Overview
Berrington Hall Golf Club, formerly known as North West National Golf & Country Club, opened in 2010 and is set within 260 acres of natural parkland with a heathland feel between Rainford and St Helens. The 18-hole championship course plays to a par of 72 over approximately 6,846 yards from the championship tees, with a slope rating of 123 and a course rating of 71.1. The layout features four challenging par 5s, four well-designed par 3s and ten good-length par 4s, with native gorse running throughout, natural water features and tight, well-manicured fairways laid on a sand bed for year-round playability.
Visitors and societies are welcomed alongside members, and the clubhouse offers a warm-up area, putting green, bar, restaurant and function facilities. The course is on St Helens Road in Rainford, easily reached from junction 26 of the M6 and the wider Merseyside motorway network. A pitch-and-putt par-3 course at Mill Lane has been retained as part of the broader operation.
