 Golf Course Overview

North Wales Golf Club was founded in 1894 and occupies a prime links setting on the West Shore of Llandudno, with excellent views over the Conwy estuary to Anglesey and the mountains of Snowdonia. The 18-hole championship links plays to a par of 71 over approximately 6,310 yards and has a course rating of 70.4. This is a true links layout with undulating dune turf, with memorable features such as the dogleg par-4 opening hole, with two bunkers defining the fairway, and the tricky short par-3 17th, just 137 yards from the whites, which demands a precise carry across a valley to a raised green — anything short rolls back down into the valley leaving an awkward blind pitch.

The course has hosted the Welsh Team Championships and is recognised as one of Wales's finest traditional links courses. Facilities for visitors include a driving range, short game area, putting green, practice net and an indoor teaching and custom-fit studio, as well as a comfortable clubhouse with bar and catering. The club welcomes visitors, and together with neighbouring Maesdu and Conwy, forms a superb trio of clubs for a Llandudno-based golfing holiday. The course is on Bryniau Road along the quieter West Shore of Llandudno, easily accessible from the A55 via Junction 18 or 19.
