Golf Course Overview
Lyme Regis Golf Club was founded in 1893 and is one of the oldest and most spectacularly-sited clubs in the South West. The 18-hole cliff-top layout plays to a par of 71 over roughly 6,264 yards, with architectural contributions over the years from Tom MacKenzie, Martin Ebert and Donald Steel. Set on Timber Hill above the historic town and Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, the course rewards accurate play and steady nerves in the invigorating sea breeze, and the coastal views toward Portland Bill are among the finest on any English course.
The club has been a venue for county, regional and national championships and welcomes visitors of all abilities through its online booking system. Facilities include a clubhouse bar and restaurant overlooking the 18th green, a well-stocked pro shop specialising in major equipment brands, a full-length driving range and an indoor teaching room equipped with the latest launch monitor technology. The club is also home to a thriving junior academy. Lyme Regis sits roughly half a mile inland from the town centre on the A3052 coast road, an easy drive from both Dorset and east Devon.
