Golf Course Overview
Lundin Golf Club's origins date to 1868, when an Old Tom Morris-designed 18-hole out-and-back course was shared between clubs at Leven and Lundin, separated by the Mile Dyke stream. By 1908 congestion among four clubs and more than 1,400 members made the arrangement untenable, and the clubs split: Lundin acquired additional land, engaged five-time Open Champion James Braid to redesign the eastern holes as a standalone 18-hole links, and officially opened the new course on 29 November 1909. The course remains largely as Braid left it. A complex links with open burns, an internal out-of-bounds (the former railway line), and strategic bunkering, it is a tale of three sections – the opening five holes on classic linksland, a middle nine of more parkland character, and a return to linksland for the final four. The course is renowned for beautiful greens and some of the most demanding par-4s in the game, and has been a regular Final Qualifying venue for The Open when played at St Andrews.
The award-winning clubhouse overlooks the 1st and 18th holes and offers spectacular views over the Firth of Forth to the Lothian coast, with a warm welcome for visitors post-round. Facilities include a fully-stocked pro shop with leading brands and coaching, club hire (two sets of gents' Callaway), two single-seater buggies, pull and battery-powered trolleys, a large practice area (own balls) and an 18-hole practice putting green. Located on Golf Road in Lundin Links, the course is just 20 minutes from St Andrews and easily reached from the A915.

It took me 14 years to come good on the promise I made to myself back then but now I'm very pleased that I have done so, for this is an extremely appealing links.
