Golf Course Overview

Lochore Meadows Golf Course was built in 1981 within the confines of Lochore Meadows Country Park – an area once at the heart of the Fife coalfields, now reclaimed as a haven for nature and recreation. The 9-hole layout has a par of 36 (72 for 18 played twice) and measures around 6,414 yards over 18 with a rating of 71.2 and slope of 130. The course features novice-friendly wide fairways but also tricky holes such as the par-3 2nd and the risk-laden 4th, with a stream flowing through the course providing both a natural hazard and a taste of the wild. The opening par-4 is 335 yards, followed by a 158-yard par-3 and then a whopping 529-yard par-5, and there are stunning views across Loch Ore and the wooded hills including glimpses of the Mary Pit Head and Benarty Hill.

The welcoming clubhouse overlooks the course and features a comfortable lounge, a bar serving refreshments, and changing and shower facilities. The surrounding country park offers a wealth of non-golf activities for family members including water sports, walking trails, cycle paths, fishing and a nature reserve. The course is managed by Fife Golf Trust, with season ticket holders entitled to play all seven Fife Golf Trust courses via the Fife Rover ticket. Located within Lochore Meadows Country Park near Crosshill and Lochgelly, the course is easily reached from the A92.
