Golf Course Overview

Loch Lomond Golf Club opened in 1993 with the championship course designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish — described by Weiskopf as his "lasting memorial to golf". The parkland course measures 7,165 yards to a par of 71 and is consistently ranked among the top 100 golf courses in the world (66th by Golf Magazine in 2005). Set within the 660-acre Rossdhu estate of Clan Colquhoun on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, the course makes heavy use of natural hazards including streams, marshland and ancient oaks, Scots Pines and Douglas Firs. The front nine plays largely along the loch shoreline before turning inland; the spectacular finishing stretch returns to the water. Loch Lomond hosted the Scottish Open on the European Tour for ten consecutive seasons (2001–2010).

The clubhouse is the magnificent Georgian Rossdhu House (completed 1773), with refined wood-panelled interiors, open fires and antique furniture. Member facilities include a pro shop, locker rooms, two formal dining rooms, casual bar and grill, an on-site spa within the historic Walled Garden (designed by Thomas White in 1797), plus 43 luxury suites at Rossdhu, The Point, the Carriage House, Garden Cottages and Loch Shore Lodges. As one of the world's finest private members' clubs, play is by member invitation only. The club is just 25 minutes north-west of Glasgow.
