Golf Course Overview
Libbaton Golf Club was established in 1986 as an 18-hole parkland course set deep in the rolling North Devon countryside. The layout plays to a par of 72 and measures 6,307 yards from the white tees with a course rating of 71.5 and slope of 131, presenting a genuine test for lower handicaps while remaining enjoyable for higher handicaps. The composition of five par 5s, nine par 4s and four par 3s gives the round a balanced rhythm, and water comes into play on nine holes through a combination of lakes, ponds and streams. Steeper gradients feature on five of the holes, with the remainder playing over gentle undulations that are kind to walkers.
On-site facilities include a seven-bay floodlit driving range, a pro shop, a putting green and tuition from a resident professional. The clubhouse alongside the 18th green serves as a social hub, with a carvery, society catering and space for weddings, corporate events and charity days. Libbaton sits at High Bickington, half a mile from the A377, and is easily reached from Barnstaple (10 miles), South Molton (9 miles), Torrington (8 miles) and Crediton, making it a convenient choice for visitors touring North Devon.
