Golf Course Overview
The Laurels at Charnock, formerly known as Charnock Richard Golf & Country Club, opened in 1994 and offers a 9-hole pay-and-play parkland course just off the M6 in Lancashire. The course plays to a par of 36 across 9 holes, or par 72 if completed twice, and stretches to approximately 6,236 yards from the back tees over 18 holes. The layout features two par 3s, four par 4s and three par 5s, with mature trees, water features and a flat walkable terrain that makes it accessible to golfers of all standards.
The Laurels combines its golf operation with restaurant, bar, weddings and function facilities, hosting all manner of celebrations from birthdays through to weddings and corporate events. The course is open all year (weather permitting) and welcomes pay-and-play golfers from 7am until two hours before sunset. The Laurels is on Preston Road in Charnock Richard, just off junction 27 of the M6, around four miles north of Chorley.
