Golfer reviews for Ladbrook Park Golf Club
This is a really lovely golf course on which you can score well if you play sensibly. This is especially true on the back 9 where position off the tee counts for more than length. While the fairways are generous, if you stray into the trees or rough, then take your medicine. On several holes there are ditches and/or ponds that could cost you dearly; taking an iron or hybrid rather than driver off the tee is the better option.
Most greens are well guarded by deep bunkers; the short par 3 8th hole has one each side of a narrow green and I've seen players go from one to the other on several occasions. The greens are fast but true.
There's a decent range of food and drink available in the clubhouse. There is a range but you can only hit irons as there are houses, perhaps, at 250 yards from the teeing area. If you want to hit woods, then nets are available. There is also a short game area which is good for bunker play.
Overall, it is a delight to play here, and I always look forward to my annual outing in the Seniors Open.

Golf Course Overview
Ladbrook Park Golf Club was founded in 1908 and commissioned Harry Colt to design the course in 1913, with further alterations carried out in 1927 and 1937. Set across 144 acres of gently undulating parkland at Tanworth-in-Arden, the layout plays to a par of 71 over 6,503 yards with a slope rating of 134. Mature oak trees line the fairways, a meandering brook threads through the property and cleverly positioned bunkers protect the greens. Built on Warwickshire clay, the course presents at its best in summer and is widely regarded as one of the finest parkland courses in the Midlands.
Facilities include a contemporary clubhouse with terrace overlooking the 18th green, a covered driving range, dedicated practice areas, a half-way house and a pro shop. The club hosts regular open competitions, society days and county events, and offers club hire for visitors. Located off Poolhead Lane between Solihull and Henley-in-Arden, Ladbrook Park is easily reached from the M42 and A3400.
