Golf Course Overview

Kirkbymoorside Golf Club offers an 18-hole parkland course on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, set in peaceful countryside of outstanding natural beauty. The layout measures around 6,207 yards from the white tees (5,449 yards from the red) to a par of 71 with a course rating of 70.8 and a slope of 123. Eight par 4s stretch beyond 400 yards from the whites, giving a real test at every level. The course is famed for its views: from the 13th tee the panorama across the moors is unsurpassed in the north, while other holes look out to the Yorkshire Wolds and the Hambleton Hills.

The modern clubhouse, opened in 1998 by Ryder Cup Captain Bernard Gallacher, serves home-cooked meals and drinks with a scenic veranda overlooking the 1st and 18th. Facilities include a driving range, chipping green, practice bunker, pro shop, buggy and club hire, PGA tuition, and changing rooms with on-site lodging. Open competitions, visitor bookings and society days are welcomed year-round. The club lies at Manor Vale on the edge of the market town of Kirkbymoorside, around 30 minutes from York and easily reached from the A170 between Thirsk and Scarborough.
