Golf Course Overview
Kings Norton Golf Club was founded in 1892 and is Birmingham's second-oldest golf club, moving to its current home at the Grade II listed Weatheroak Hall in 1970. Designed by Fred Hawtree, the course spreads over 220 acres with 27 championship holes arranged as three nines — The Weatheroak, The Wythall, and The Brockhill — which combine to create three distinct 18-hole layouts, all in excess of 6,787 yards from the back tees. A 9-hole par 3 academy course, a grass practice range, and short-game areas complete the golf offering. The large, well-drained greens average around 650 square metres and play consistently all year.
The Grade II listed clubhouse features a galleried hallway, lounges, dining areas, changing rooms, and a terrace overlooking the course, together with a pro shop that houses an indoor simulator. Kings Norton welcomes visitors Monday to Friday outside bank holidays and is a popular regional venue for corporate events, weddings, and society golf. The club is close to Junction 3 of the M42 at Weatheroak, Alvechurch.
