Obvious signs of weather problems on the fairways but greens n surrounds very good.

Golf Course Overview

Hull Golf Club was founded in 1904 and was the first golf club in the Hull area, originally sited off Anlaby Road on what later became Boothferry Park football ground. After a road-building programme forced a relocation, the club moved in 1924 to Kirk Ella, where the new 18-hole course was designed by five-time Open Champion James Braid and formally opened on 21st May 1925. The parkland course today measures around 6,235 yards off the white tees and is set amidst mature woodland that has grown up since the Second World War. Kirk Ella Hall, a Georgian house purchased with the land, serves as the clubhouse and overlooks the course.

Facilities include a grass and mat driving range, putting green, chipping area, practice bunker, pro shop with club hire and tuition from PGA professional Aaron Pheasant. The clubhouse offers bar, restaurant and function facilities and is regularly used for weddings and events. Hull Golf Club has a long record of hosting regional and county amateur and professional tournaments and remains one of the most highly regarded courses in the north of England. The club lies in the pretty village of Kirk Ella, four miles west of Hull Paragon interchange and easily reached from the A63.
