Golf Course Overview
Hollywood Golf Club (also known historically as Gay Hill Golf Club) was founded in 1913 and has been on its present site on the southern outskirts of Birmingham for over 90 years. The mature 18-hole parkland course measures around 6,406 yards with a par of 72, laid out in a valley with gently sloping sides. Twin streams weave through the layout to provide a natural hazard on several holes, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy, and the short greens-to-tee walks keep the course comfortably playable for golfers of all ages.
Facilities include a clubhouse with bar and catering, a putting green, practice area, and a well-stocked pro shop offering lessons and coaching. Visitors and societies are welcomed and the club runs an active competition calendar throughout the year. Hollywood sits on Hollywood Lane just off the A435, within a mile of Junction 3 of the M42 and easy reach of the Maypole and Wythall area.
