Golf Course Overview

Highcliffe Castle Golf Club was founded in 1913 and occupies a compact site on the edge of the New Forest in the coastal village of Highcliffe-on-Sea, just east of Christchurch. The 18-hole layout plays to a par of 68 over approximately 4,841 yards, making it one of the shorter parkland courses in the region but one that still demands accuracy through its tree-lined fairways and subtly contoured greens. The course is relatively flat and an easy walk, with sea glimpses through the tree canopy and the adjacent Steamer Point Nature Reserve adding to the charm. A round here can comfortably be completed in under three hours.

The clubhouse enjoys views over the course and is known for a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and welcoming dress code, with good food, bar service and function facilities for societies and events. The club supports around 350 men and 100 lady members and welcomes visitors all year round, with PGA tuition available. Highcliffe is conveniently placed for visitors from both Dorset and Hampshire, sitting on Lymington Road (A337) a short distance from the centre of Highcliffe village and just off the A35.
