Golf Course Overview

Folke Golf Club, based at Folke Golf Centre, plays over a nine-hole, par-35 parkland course of around 3,034 yards set in the rolling Dorset countryside south of Sherborne. The course opened in 1991 and follows the natural contours of the land, with a slope rating of 121 from the back markers. As a family-run, pay-and-play centre, Folke welcomes a wide range of abilities, and the club fields teams in the Hardy A and B leagues and the Three Counties League with a busy calendar of competitions and senior friendlies.

Beyond the course there is a ten-bay driving range, putting green, golf academy and a pro shop with club hire and trolley hire available. The clubhouse, recently refurbished, offers an all-day breakfast bar, a restaurant with Sunday carvery and a patio overlooking the course; the venue also hosts weddings and private functions. Folke is reached from Sherborne by following the A352 and A3030 toward Sturminster Newton, turning at the Alweston crossroads.
