Golf Course Overview
Fleetwood Golf Club is the only true links course on the Fylde coast, founded in 1892 with records of golf being played at Fleetwood going back as far as 1861. The course was laid out in its present form in 1932 by designer James Steer and measures 6,521 yards at a par of 72, running in a classic two-loop layout with the back nine inside the front nine along the northwest Lancashire coast. Prevailing winds are a constant and significant factor in how the course plays from day to day, making every round a unique strategic challenge for golfers of all abilities.
From a short par-four opener offering birdie opportunities to a risk-and-reward finishing hole testing even the longest of hitters, Fleetwood delivers an authentic links experience in a spectacular coastal setting. The PGA professional team provides a well-stocked pro shop, and the club is easily reached via the M55 and A585.

Golf Empire Verdict
Fleetwood
"I like nice surprises. And that's exactly what I got when I played Fleetwood Golf Club for the first time."
With so many notable courses, including no less than three Open Championship venues, lying relatively close to the south of Fleetwood it's a course that often goes under the radar.
