Golf Course Overview

Founded in 1931, Flamborough Head Golf Club occupies a spectacular clifftop setting on the famous chalk headland north-east of Bridlington. The 18-hole links-style course measures approximately 6,244 yards to a par of 71 and has been moulded around the natural contours of the peninsula, with undulating fairways, raised greens and a notable absence of trees that leaves the sea breeze very much in play. The Old Beacon, a stone-built chalk-tower lighthouse dating from around 1674 and thought to be the only surviving example of its kind in England, stands alongside the 5th tee, while the active New Flamborough Lighthouse is a constant visual companion around the course.

Marketed as the "friendliest club on the coast", Flamborough Head offers a clubhouse bar and catering, a pro shop with equipment hire and a welcoming visitor programme. There is no driving range but the practice facilities are adequate for a warm-up round, and societies are well catered for. The course is reached via the B1255 Lighthouse Road out of Flamborough village and sits next to the RSPB cliffs at Bempton, making it a popular pairing with a seaside or wildlife break. The club is affiliated with the East Riding Union of Golf Clubs and hosts Bridlington Golf Week each summer.
