Golf Course Overview
Falkirk Tryst Golf Club, known locally as "The Tryst", was founded in 1885 making it one of the oldest clubs in central Scotland. The 18-hole parkland course measures around 5,994 yards to a par of 70 and is laid on sandy soil with excellent drainage, giving it a reputation as one of the best year-round golf courses in central Scotland and playable in even extreme conditions. The course takes advantage of the area's natural terrain through heather, mounding and strategically placed bunkers, with dog-legs from right to left adding variety and a memorable closing hole that demands a strong drive to leave a chance of reaching the green over the burn in two.
The clubhouse offers a warm, inviting bar and restaurant atmosphere, perfect for hosting weddings, funerals or celebrations, with first-class catering. The pro shop is led by Steven Dunsmore offering custom fittings, repairs, equipment hire and lessons, and the club is part of TGI Golf. The course is in Stenhousemuir, Larbert, on the northern edge of the village within the Parish of Larbert — approximately midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow and 11 miles south of Stirling.
