Golf Course Overview

Fakenham Golf Club was founded in 1974 and is set in and around the historic Fakenham Racecourse, a unique location that gives the club a spectacular environment in which to play golf. The 9-hole, 18-tee parkland course plays to a par of 71 over approximately 6,248 yards across the full 18-hole circuit (par 36 out, 35 back), with a slope rating of 130 and a course rating of 70.2, with eight different tees on the back nine to provide variety on the second loop. Several holes are inside the racetrack, providing an exciting layout that follows the river and woodland.

The club is operated through the Fakenham Sports Centre Association, with a clubhouse offering bar and catering, practice nets, a putting green, and very reasonable green fees for visitors playing 9 holes, 18 holes or a day ticket. The course is closed on race meeting days but is otherwise open year-round to members and visitors. Fakenham Golf Club is at The Racecourse on Hempton Road in Fakenham, easily accessible from the A1067 and A148.
