 Golf Course Overview

Enmore Park Golf Club traces its origins to Easter Monday 1906, when Cannington Park Golf Club was formally opened. After outgrowing its original nine-hole layout, the club moved to its present parkland setting in the village of Enmore in 1932, and in 1972 engaged Fred Hawtree of Hawtree & Co to create an 18-hole championship course, officially opened on 10 June that year. The par-71 layout measures around 6,426 yards from the medal tees and sits on the lower slopes of the Quantock Hills within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with views from its higher points reaching across the Bristol Channel to Wales. A brook and three ponds come into play on five holes, and the long uphill par-4 10th, well over 400 yards, is widely regarded as one of the most daunting holes in the West Country.

The clubhouse, set in a beautiful location, is available for function and venue hire, with a bar, dining and a pro shop. The course remains a qualifying course over 18 holes from the Green or Purple tees. Enmore Park hosted the English Women's Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 2009 and, alongside Burnham & Berrow, was co-host of the 2011 R&A Boys Amateur Championship. Visitors and societies are welcomed, with green fees starting at £25 per round.
