Golf Course Overview

Elton Furze Golf Club, designed by Roger Fitton and opened in April 1993, sits in the Cambridgeshire countryside four miles west of Peterborough. The 18-hole course plays to 6,254 yards with a par of 70 and is arranged as two loops of nine, weaving through some 20 acres of mature woodland with the benefit of USGA-specification greens that provide an excellent playing surface year-round. The name reflects the gorse or "furze" bushes that grow widely across the property. The 7th, a testing 432-yard par 4, is notable for the ditches, bunkers and water that defend its approach.

The proprietor-run club welcomes members and visitors alike, with pre-booking essential and tee times available up to seven days in advance. Facilities include a restaurant, function space, pro shop, driving range, buggy and trolley hire, changing rooms and tuition from the resident professional. The club lies just off the old A605 within easy reach of the A1 and the neighbouring town of Oundle.
