Golf Course Overview

Effingham Park Golf Club is a compact but characterful pay-and-play course set in the parkland grounds of the Copthorne Hotel Effingham Park in Felbridge, just south of the Surrey/Sussex border and only minutes from Gatwick Airport. Designed by Spanish architect Francisco Escario and opened in 1980, the nine-hole course plays as an eighteen-hole par-30 of around 1,822 yards using two sets of tees, with five tranquil lakes coming into play across a tight, tree-lined parkland routing. The carefully shaped small greens and water hazards put a premium on accuracy and short-game touch, making it an enjoyable test for players of all standards and a particularly useful venue for those refining their iron play.

The wider Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel complex offers comprehensive resort facilities including a putting green, a well-stocked pro shop, a bar and restaurant in the clubhouse, and on-site PGA tuition. The hotel itself provides four-star accommodation, conference and wedding venues, a leisure club with pool and gym, and extensive landscaped grounds. The course is open year-round to visitors, with green fees representing excellent value, and its location off the A264 just east of Crawley makes it convenient for golfers travelling from London, Brighton or via Gatwick.
