Golf Course Overview
Eastwood Golf Club at Loganswell, Newton Mearns on Glasgow's south side, was an 18-hole members' parkland course of 6,071 yards (par 70) founded in 1892 and redesigned by Graeme Webster in 2003. After 126 years of operation the club was forced into sequestration/liquidation and closed in May 2019 amid dwindling membership; proposals (c. 2021) by developer Colin Whitelaw for a new "Eastwood Estate" multi-purpose leisure complex including a shorter pay-and-play course have since been pursued, with the former course land used informally for walking during the pandemic.
