Golf Course Overview
Easter Moffat Golf Club was founded in 1922 amid the post-war boom in golf, the original layout consisting of nine holes within the parkland of the Easter Moffat estate with a wooden Army hut serving as the first clubhouse. The course was extended to 18 holes in 1945 and has been improved continuously since. The rolling parkland layout measures around 6,267 yards to a par of 71, with mature tree-lined fairways and excellent views across to the Campsie and Ochil hills. The 12th is widely regarded as the toughest par-4 in the county, while the signature 18th — played from an elevated tee to the green in front of the clubhouse — provides a memorable finish.
The clubhouse is the former mansion house on the Easter Moffat estate, providing a comfortable and well-appointed bar with snacks and meals, visitors' changing rooms and a friendly atmosphere. Practice facilities and a pro shop are available. Visitors are welcomed midweek due to busy weekend competition schedules. The course sits two miles east of Airdrie just off the A89.
