Golf Course Overview
East Horton Golf Club is a 45-hole parkland complex on Mortimers Lane at Fair Oak, near Winchester, set across 260 acres of Hampshire countryside. The flagship Greenwood Course was re-designed in 2009 by Ryder Cup player Guy Hunt and plays to par 72 at 6,186 yards (rating 70.1, slope 123), with a tributary of the River Hamble and a large wooded area giving the course its name; the 17th with its 160-yard carry over an imposing lake is a stand-out. The Parkland Course, at 5,672 yards, offers a more established championship-standard test through mature parkland. The nine-hole Marwell Course, measuring around 1,000 yards at par 3, is perfect for a quick round, juniors and learners.
Facilities include a grass and mat driving range, putting and chipping greens, pro shop, Greenside Barn function rooms and conference spaces, and the club's own restaurant catering for events, parties, wakes and memorials. Buggies are available to hire and the club is open to visitors and members alike. East Horton is easily accessible from the M3 (Junction 12) and the M27, placing it within easy driving distance of Southampton, Winchester, Eastleigh and Portsmouth.
