 Golf Course Overview

Earlswood Golf Club, which opened in 1993, occupies an elevated downland setting at Jersey Marine between Swansea and Neath in South Wales. The 18-hole layout plays 5,174 yards to a par of 68, mixing par-3, par-4 and par-5 holes across natural, rolling terrain with water hazards and bunkers in play throughout. Despite its modest length, the course is genuinely characterful: the inward nine in particular is talked about long after the round, with the 14th — requiring a carry of around 150 yards from an elevated tee down to the fairway below — a hole that fixes itself in the memory. Sweeping views of Swansea Bay, the Mumbles and the Gower coastline are a feature from many of the tees.

Run as a family-operated, pay-as-you-play facility with a relaxed dress code, the club is geared towards making golf accessible. Amenities include a pro shop, practice area, on-site catering and function space, and societies are welcomed throughout the year. The course is maintained to a good standard year-round, with the main greens and grass tees in use through both summer and winter, and it has built a strong reputation as one of the best-value public courses in South Wales. Access is straightforward — the club lies just minutes from Junction 42 of the M4 — making it convenient for visiting golfers travelling along the South Wales corridor.
