Golf Course Overview
Dummer Golf Club near Basingstoke in Hampshire was an 18-hole downland course of 6,533 yards designed by Peter Alliss and set in over 165 acres of peaceful chalk countryside just off Junction 7 of the M3, featuring four lakes, dramatic mounds, canyon-like dips, and the largest bunker in Hampshire at the par-3 14th. The original Dummer Golf Club ceased operations when Basingstoke Golf Club — displaced from its historic Kempshott Park course by a housing developer — acquired the Dummer site in 2021 and commenced a £15 million redevelopment. The entire layout has been redesigned by Weller Designs into a new championship downland course, with Basingstoke Golf Club reopening the revamped facility in phases through 2024 and 2025.
Closed 2021.
