Golf Course Overview
Drumpellier Golf Club was founded in 1894 with the original course laid out by Willie Fernie, redesigned in 1923 by James Braid and later refined by Cameron Sinclair. The 18-hole undulating parkland course measures around 6,361 yards to a par of 71 and is consistently regarded as one of Lanarkshire's most popular layouts. The course boasts a memorable finish: the 17th is a tempting 270-yard par-4 that big hitters can attack from the tee, while the closing par-4 18th tumbles downhill on slopes ranging from subtle to dramatic to a well-bunkered green.
The clubhouse offers an excellent bar, function and dining facilities, with a well-stocked pro shop. Visitors are made welcome and the club has hosted many notable amateur and professional golfers over the years. Drumpellier sits at the west end of Coatbridge, eight miles east of Glasgow, easily accessible from the M8.
