Golf Course Overview

Drumoig Golf Course opened in 1996 as part of the Drumoig Hotel and Golf Course complex, designed by Dave Thomas on a 250-acre estate of rolling Fife countryside. The championship-style parkland course measures around 6,895 yards to a par of 73, weaving through a natural bird and wildlife haven with a mix of loch-side fairways, whinstone-quarry greens and dramatic views across St Andrews Bay and the River Tay towards Dundee and Carnoustie. Water comes into play on several holes, most notably the par-3 9th which features a tricky carry over a loch; holes 9, 10 and 11 are widely regarded as among the best inland sequences in Scotland, and there is also a new water-surrounded par-4 18th.

The hotel includes 29 en-suite bedrooms (24 in adjacent lodges) along with bar, restaurant and meeting facilities, and the separate Drumoig Golf Center provides a 24-bay Trackman driving range, PGA tuition, Footgolf and Discgolf. Course facilities include buggy hire, trolley and club hire, putting green and short-game area, with stay-and-play packages available from the hotel. Visitors are welcomed every day and the course is known for being playable throughout the year. Located off Forgan Drive in Drumoig near Leuchars, the complex is about 10 minutes from St Andrews and 13 minutes from Dundee via the A92.
