Golf Course Overview
Dragon's Tooth Golf Club is based at the Woodlands Glencoe Golf Course at Glenachulish, near Ballachulish, where the original 9-hole layout was built by Ronnie MacLaughlan in 2002 to a design by respected course architect Robin Hiseman. Set on an undulating, tree-lined estate at the entrance to Glencoe, the parkland course measures around 5,003 yards over a full round and plays to a par of 67. It is overshadowed by two majestic Munros, Sgorr Dhearg and Sgorr Dhonuill, with the sharp peak known as the Dragon's Tooth itself rising between them, and the testing par-3 second is widely regarded as the layout's signature hole.
The club itself was formed shortly after the course was built so that local players could carry handicaps and run competitions, and merged with the former Leven Ladies Golf Club in 2010 to form a single members' club. The Woodlands clubhouse bistro offers a bar, lounge and panoramic views over the ninth hole to the sea beyond, with practice facilities including a driving net, two target greens, a practice bunker and a putting green. The course is just three miles from Glencoe village and around twelve miles from Fort William.
