Deer Park Golf & Country Club

 Golf Course Overview

Deer Park Golf & Country Club was designed by the trio of Peter Alliss, Dave Thomas and Peter Clark and opened in 1978 in the heart of Livingston. The par-72 championship parkland layout measures 6,727 yards from the back tees but offers five tee options to suit every level of golfer. The front nine plays over fairly flat, tree-lined ground with well-placed bunkers and water hazards, while the back nine climbs and falls across more undulating terrain, rewarding players at the high points with spectacular long-range views to Edinburgh Castle and Arthur's Seat. A notable collection of strong par-3s and several well-protected greens make Deer Park a genuine test.

The course hosts the 36-hole Deer Park Masters Pro-Am, which has become a major fixture on the PGA Tartan Tour since its launch in 2004, and its conditioning is regularly praised by tour professionals. The country club is far more than a golf facility, combining a 16-lane tenpin bowling centre, a gym and fitness studio, swimming pool, jacuzzi, squash courts, sauna, steam room, snooker facilities, a Fairways Suite for weddings and banqueting, and multiple dining outlets. The resort sits just off the M8 with easy access from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
